Islands in line for ferry service
A regular ferry link is being planned between Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney.

The Jersey-Guernsey link would belong to HD Ferries, which currently runs the newest service between Jersey and St Malo in France.

The Alderney service would be run through Guernsey firm Ship and Fly, but its future depends on whether the vessel can dock in Alderney's harbour.

A berthing trial will take place in Alderney within the next week if preliminary tests are successful.
