Tax charge system proves success
Guernsey's income tax office said its new surcharge system has been successful in getting more people to pay up on time.

The surcharges have been introduced over the past six months.

Richard Green from the income tax office said the idea was to get payments in on time.

There had been concerns about a rush of appeals against the charges, but Mr Green said they have not had as many as they anticipated.
