Taxi passengers face price hike
Taxi fares in Guernsey are to rise by more than 3.5% from Sunday.

The increase, agreed by the Environment Department, is less than the island's Taxi Owners Federation was asking for.

The group, which represents more than 60% of the island's taxi drivers, had wanted to put up fares by 5.9% to reflect increasing costs.

The Environment Department, which took into account replies to a public consultation, is allowing an increase of 3.6% across all tariffs.
