Six Guernsey businesses have been rewarded for their efforts in cutting down on waste.
The Keep Guernsey Green awards have been handed out to States Works, Woodies, Intersurgical, Island Scan, Norman Piette and NRG International.
The companies proved their commitment to the environment by meeting a set of criteria over the past year.
Steve Smith, chief officer for the Environment Department, hopes other issues can be tackled in the future.
"We want to run this element of the green accreditation scheme for many years to come," he said.
"Our aspirations for the future are to extend it to include energy efficiency and reducing their (island businesses) carbon footprint."
