Volunteers cleaning-up on Lihou
Lihou island house
Lihou House is earmarked to become an educational centre
Volunteers are cleaning in preparation for the first guests to the Lihou island wildlife haven.

Lihou Charitable Trust received the keys to Lihou House last month from Guernsey States which bought the property in 1995.

The trust has just three months to convince the States that it can meet its deadlines for getting the building ready for charitable use.

The trust plans to turn the house into an educational centre.

Lihou is linked to Guernsey near L'Eree by a causeway.
