Parish picked for floral contest
The parish of St Andrew's has been chosen to represent Guernsey in next year's Britain in Bloom competition.

The parish qualified after winning the annual Floral Guernsey contest, which is held to improve areas on the island.

It will be the second time St Andrew's has taken part in the Britain in Bloom event within four years.

Floral Guernsey silver awards went to Castel, the Forest and St Saviour's parishes, as well as Herm and Sark. The bronze went to St Pierre du Bois.

The Best Improved garden award went to St Saviour's.

Woggie Bienvenue and the Forest Community organising team won the Ossie Falla Memorial Award for their outstanding contribution.
