Island car champ given own stamp

Andy Priaulx became the World Touring Car Champion in 2005
Stamps celebrating the career of Guernsey motorsport champion Andy Priaulx are to go on sale.

The 2005 FIA World Touring Car Champion is the first local sportsman to receive the honour from Guernsey Post.

The 31-year-old started his motor racing career by winning the British Hill Climb title in 1995.

The series of six special edition stamps of highlights of his career will go on sale in the island's post offices from 20 May.
