Fallen tree
The playground will remain closed while tree safety checks are done
A children's play area in a Guernsey park remained closed on Thursday after a tree fell on two cars.

The 30ft (9.1m) tree fell on the parked vehicles in Saumarez Park on Wednesday afternoon. No-one was injured.

Fire crews used thermal imaging equipment to check for any people inside the damaged vehicles.

The area, which is popular with locals and tourists, is expected to remain shut until the end of the week while checks are carried out on other trees.
