Vet calls for stranding facility
Porpoise being rescued at Perelle
The porpoise was trapped by the dropping tide at Perelle
A leading Guernsey vet claims the island needs a facility to help rehabilitate sea creatures washed up on Guernsey's beaches.

On Friday a porpoise was rescued at Perelle, but on Saturday a similar animal was found dead on the coast.

It is not yet clear if it was the same one trapped by the dropping tide at Perelle on the island's west coast.

Vet John Knight would like a dedicated site set up to help treat stricken animals including dolphins and seals.
