Alderney reveals tidal power plan
Tidal power experts meeting in France have heard about Alderney's plans to produce electricity from the sea.

The Alderney Commission for Renewable Energy (Acre) attended a Franco-British marine energy seminar in Le Havre.

The workshop brought together leading experts from various fields within the renewable energy industry.

According to the UK Department of Trade and Industry, Alderney has one of the best and most accessible tidal power resources in Europe.

Brian Goddard of Acre said: "We were encouraged by the response of most parties who recognise the potential of Alderney's resource and are keen to discuss aspects of co-operation."
