Micheal Beaumont, Seigneur of Sark, lays a wreath at the war memorial
Channel Island Sark is commemorating the 60th anniversary of its liberation from Nazi occupation.

The German surrender there was signed on 10 May 1945, a day later than in Guernsey and Jersey.

An ecumenical service was attended by standard bearers from a number of military regiments.

Micheal Beaumont, Seigneur of Sark, laid a wreath at the island's war memorial to commemorate the tiny island's freedom.

A fly-past by a Dakota was followed by cavalcade from La Collinette, including representatives from 135 Squadron, Sark's liberating force.

The celebrations, which include a tea dance for the elderly, follow a visit to Guernsey and Jersey by the Queen on Monday.
