Drink blitz says it with flowers
Guernsey Police hope a powerful anti-drink driving campaign will get the message to people over Christmas.

Flowers tied on railings at different spots around the island will highlight the effects accidents could have on drivers and victims.

Superintendent of Operations Ian Morellec said it was a different take on an old message.

He added he also hoped it would make friends and relatives stop people from getting behind the wheel.

He said: "We're trying to also appeal to other people who may be in the company of someone who is drinking."
