Group warns of pension shortfall

People in Jersey and Guernsey are not saving enough money for their retirement, according to an independent consultancy in the Channel Islands.

The BWCI Group is carrying out its third survey into pension schemes.

To date, results show a decline in final salary schemes, similar to findings in the UK.

The company hopes to highlight the schemes local businesses offer employees to ensure they save enough to live comfortably in their retirement.
