Sunken fishing boat is Our Pete
Wreckage found on the seabed belongs to an Alderney fishing boat, it has been confirmed.

The 26ft crabber, Our Pete, was reported missing last month. Its crew members, Jean Paul Dupont and Tim Smart, have still not been found.

The wreckage was found lying in 60m of water, three miles north of Alderney.

An underwater search of the area by a remote-controlled vehicle from the French navy vessel, Croix du Sud, was unsuccessful in finding the crew.

Alderney's Harbour Master Steve Shaw was on the boat when the wreck was identified.

A report into the incident will be given to politicians in Guernsey on Thursday.
