A U-turn over plans to reduce the drink-drive limit in Guernsey is being blamed on a lack of support from the public and politicians.
A proposal to cut the legal limit by a third formed part of the Bailiwick Alcohol Strategy earlier this year.
However some licensees argued it could harm the pub trade, and the proposal has been dropped.
Health Minister Peter Roffey says it was clear there was not enough backing for the move.
