Trust changes Castle refurb plans

Revised proposals for Mont Orgueil Castle in Jersey have been put to the planning authorities.

The Jersey Heritage Trust is planning a £3m programme of improvement works to change the site.

The new plans include a lower ward garden, a garden above the ramparts, a roof over the castle's mount gate and new inner spiral staircase.

The trust first submitted plans for the castle's refurbishment in January after a £30,000 conservation consultation.
