Guernsey's authorities are being urged to increase provisions and incentives for cyclists.
The call from the island's Bicycle Group follows a very successful bike to work day on Friday.
It was the culmination of a week-long programme of events to encourage more people to use two-wheeled transport.
Andy Linehan from the group says it is a positive step, but Guernsey is still behind the times in encouraging cycling compared to other jurisdictions.
Ivan Rihoy, Deputy Minister for Environment, said he would also like to see islanders using bikes to get around the island, particularly during the summer months.
