Pedal power better for islanders
People in Guernsey are being encouraged to swap four wheels for two on Friday's bike to work day.

Ivan Rihoy, Deputy Minister for Environment, said cycling benefits health, reduces pollution and lessens traffic congestion.

He would also like to see islanders using bikes to get around the island, particularly during the summer months.

The Environment Department hopes the day will encourage and promote cycling as an alternative form of transport.
