Longboarders surfing for children
Surfing at Vazon
Vazon is a favourite spot for Guernsey surfers
BBC Guernsey's Children in Need surf contest kicked off on Sunday.

The longboard expression competition, the second meeting between Jersey and Guernsey in the last 10 years, took place at Vazon Bay.

It was the first competition, ahead of open and junior events on 27 and 28 November.

Meanwhile, BBC Guernsey's Children in Need Casino night attracted more than 200 people to the Roquettes Hotel in St Peter Port on Saturday night.

Guests gambled until the early hours, some taking home exotic holidays and other big prizes.

Ticket sales alone brought the Bailiwick's 2004 Children in Need running total to almost £40,000.
