Night bus boss quietly confident
A Guernsey businessman who wants to operate a night bus on the island claims he is not worried about drunken behaviour on board the vehicle.

Universal Limos has submitted plans to the Environment Department for a route between Town and The Bridge on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Malcolm Margot said he was confident a security guard would provide adequate safeguards against trouble-makers.

Anyone with comments should contact the Environment Department by 15 November.

Buses would run half-hourly in each direction from 2000 GMT until about 0200 GMT if the route is approved.

Mr Margot said he thought his security measures would stop any bad behaviour from disrupting the service.
