Concern over workplace bullying
Stressed man
Managers should pay more attention to grievance procedures
Guernsey does not have the necessary legislation to tackle bullying at work, according to a personnel expert.

Miranda Rock, from the island's Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, also says not all firms have drawn up anti-bullying policies.

Ms Rock believes more attention needs to be paid to formal and informal grievance procedures.

She says anyone who feels they are being bullied should confide in somebody they can trust.

She said: "You should find someone in the company you can go to and talk about it.

"If that's not senior management, find somebody at a more junior level or the personnel department and say what's happening to you.

"Bullying is absolutely unacceptable."
