In pictures: Prague protests
The Czech capital, Prague, saw violent clashes on Tuesday as anti-globalisation demonstrators tried to disrupt the annual meetings of the IMF/World Bank.
![]() The demonstration started peacefully
![]() Anarchists carried distinctive black flags
![]() The hammer and sickle were much in evidence - as were masks
![]() Police stopped protesters reaching the conference centre via the Nuselsky bridge
![]() But there were ugly scenes at several flashpoints
![]() Demonstrators attacked police with stones and "Molotov cocktails"
![]() Police fired tear gas and water cannon in response
