Protest clashes over Greece austerity measures

Protesters and police have clashed in Athens, during demonstrations against the Greek government's austerity measures to deal with its 300bn euro (£267bn) debt.

Scuffles broke out when 4,000 teachers and students approached parliament to protest against education cuts.

Demonstrators reportedly threw stones at riot police, who responded with small bursts of pepper spray to keep the crowd back.
