Man dies after jumping from fire at Limerick apartment


A man has died following a fire in an apartment block in Limerick.

It understood the man, who was in his 30s, died from injuries he suffered after jumping from a fourth floor window to escape the blaze.

A woman, thought to be in her late teens or early 20s, was also taken to hospital, where she is being treated for smoke inhalation.

Her condition is described as stable. Irish police are investigating the cause of the fire.
