France and Brazil in climate deal

France and Brazil have adopted a common position on climate change ahead of the Copenhagen summit next month.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy said he and President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva had agreed to pursue the goal of reducing industrialised nations' emissions to 50% below 1990 levels by 2050.
