French Scientology fraud conviction

A French court has convicted the Church of Scientology of fraud after a woman said she was manipulated into paying the organisation more than 20,000 euros.

Several leaders and two of the group's centres have received heavy fines. A legal loophole prevented the nationwide ban called for by the prosecution.
