UN to protect Corsican singing

Artistic and cultural traditions that are in danger of dying out will receive more UN protection.

It is part of a new programme by the UN's cultural organisation UNESCO. The list includes a collective fishing rite in Mali, a Chinese regional textile technique and a polyphonic singing tradition in Corsica.

As Clare Lyons reports, Corsica's cantu in paghjella is at risk from tourism.
