UN chief seeks urgency over climate

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has told a meeting of world leaders in New York urgent action is needed on climate change.

He said negotiations on reducing emissions had been proceeding too slowly.

He said failure to reach agreement at December's climate talks in Copenhagen would be "morally inexcusable".
