The spa town of Lisdoonvarna on Ireland's west coast could soon be granting the wishes of thousands of singletons let down by internet dating, speed dating and lonely hearts columns.

For five weeks every September it hosts the world's biggest matchmaking festival, with 40,000 people visiting to enjoy the music and dancing, and perhaps to find their perfect match.

Tamasin Ford caught up with Willie Daly, a fourth generation matchmaker - and the only 'official' matchmaker still left in Ireland - to get an insight into his art.
