Mobile phone throwing

The Mobile Phone Throwing World Championships have been held annually since 2000 in Savonlinna. Competitors can be rewarded for style, as well as distance.

Boot thrower

Heikki Virolainen from Finland competes in the 2007 world championship in Berlin. Finland hosted the first world championship but other countries have also taken their turn.

Sauna competition

In the sauna competition, the winner is whoever endures the hottest temperature for the longest period. Winners may last more than 10 minutes in 110C.
