Greenpeace in sea boulder protest

Greenpeace has begun sinking boulders in EU-protected cod fishing grounds to prevent what it says are destructive forms of fishing off the Swedish and Danish coasts.

On Monday, the environmental group sank 40 of a planned 180 granite rocks into the Kattegat waters off southwest Sweden, while some fishing trawlers circled nearby.

Project coordinator Isadora Wronski spoke about the protest onboard the Greenpeace vessel Beluga II.
