Whaling season starts in Iceland

This year's whaling season has begun in Iceland despite calls from environmental groups for the country to scrap the practice.

Minke whales are being targeted in the first catch with Iceland hoping to sell whale meat both at home and abroad.

The country announced it was to resume commercial whaling in 2006, 20 years after an international moratorium came into practice.

Mark Lowen reports.
