The train ran into iron bars
Police have arrested a man after a train was derailed just south of Lyon in south-eastern France, leaving two people dead.

The train, carrying 371 passengers from Vintimiglia in Italy to Calais, ran into iron bars placed on the track shortly after leaving the Chasse-sur-Rhone station.

One of the train's conductors was killed and a Belgian passenger died of a heart attack in the incident at about 0020 GMT (2320 BST) on Saturday night.

Some 15 passengers were said to have slight injuries.
