Russian PM Vladimir Putin has ruled out an early return to the presidency.

Replying to a question by the BBC's Rupert Wingfield-Hayes, he said he would wait until 2012, when presidential polls are due, to decide whether to run at all.

He also said he had a good working relationship with the current president, Dmitry Medvedev.
