A fire has broken out at Berlin's Tegel airport, forcing the authorities to divert flights elsewhere.
The blaze started close to the military section of the German capital's airport, officials say.
A large contingent of firefighters is trying to extinguish the blaze, the cause of which is not known.
The fire sent large clouds of smoke into the skies, making landing difficult. So far there have been no reports of any injuries, officials say.
The fire erupted in a building near the military section of Tegel airport, in northern Berlin.
A number of incoming flights had to be diverted to Berlin's Schoenefeld airport, in the eastern part of the capital, officials said.
Tegel is the main international airport in Berlin, serving millions of passengers every year.
