Balkan meeting discuss a rapid deployment force
. Foreign ministers of Bulgaria, Greece and Romania have been discussing proposals to establish a rapid deployment force to help defuse regional conflicts. The ministers, meeting on the Greek island of Santorini, also renewed calls for a joining of forces to help resolve the crisis in the Serbian province of Kosovo. They agreed that any future solution to Kosovo's problems should be found within the existing Yugoslavia. The ministers' meeting also agreed to set up a working group, to help resolve a dispute between Romania and Bulgaria over the site of a proposed bridge across the River Danube.
