Putin's dog gets 'sat-nav'

Vladimir Putin's black labrador, Koni, has been fitted with a collar containing satellite positioning equipment.

The prime minister's pet was an ideal subject for a trial run of Russia's own version of GPS, Glonass, which should be available worldwide by 2010.
