Swim challenge for charity

Castle swim
More than 200 got in the swim for charity in 2007

Hundreds of islanders made a splash for charity on Sunday.

The annual Castle Swim, which dates back to the German occupation in World War II, attracted more than 200 swimmers in 2007.

The challenge started at the Havelet bathing pools and finished at Castle Cornet, covering a distance of about 500m (550 yards).

Swimmers were asked for a £2 donation and all the money raised this year goes to Les Bourgs Hospice.
