Russia pays Solzhenitsyn respects

Russians have been paying their last respects to writer Alexander Solzhenitsyn, who died on Sunday at the age of 89.

The writer's wife Natalya Solzhenitsyn and their two sons stood near to the coffin while mourners filed past.

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin also attended the lying-in-state at the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow.
