The search was called off after nobody was found

German police have evacuated a school in the capital, Berlin, following an anonymous telephone warning that an armed man had entered the building.
Police went to the school after receiving a call from inside it at 0900 (0700 GMT) but after almost four hours searching no suspect was found.
More than 100 officers, including special forces, searched the building.
The technical college, located in the central district of Kreuzberg, has about 6,000 pupils aged 15 to 18.
A police spokesman confirmed that "no suspect was found". It is still unclear if it was a false alarm or if a suspect did manage to escape unseen from the building.
