Yeltsin dismisses government: Text of decree

Text of the decree signed by Russian President Boris Yeltsin, as carried by the Russian news agency INTERFAX:

"In accordance with articles 83 and 117 of the RF (Russian Federation) Constitution:

1. I announce the resignation of the RF government.

2. I request the members of the RF government to carry out their duties until the formation of a new RF government.

3. I am assuming the temporary discharge of the duties of Chairman of the Government [i.e. Prime Minister].

RF President Boris Yeltsin."
