Security officials from the Commonwealth of Independent States are meeting in the Kyrgyz capital, Bishkek, to discuss ways of combatting terrorism in the region.

A senior Russian official, who's attending the meeting Vladislav Sherstyuk said that the coordination of forces would be one of the key questions on the agenda.

Issues such as drug trafficking and organised crime will also be debated. The meeting comes a day after CIS Defence Ministers met in Uzbekistan to discuss regional Security issues.
