One dead in Paris suburb car bomb

One person is reported to have been killed after a bomb exploded in a car in northern Paris.

The blast happened as the car was being driven on a motorway in La Courneuve suburb, in Seine-Saint-Denis, at 1200 local time (1100 GMT).

One of the people in the car was known to French police, who say the bomb attack may have been a settling of scores between criminals.

A police investigation into the booby-trap explosion is under way.
