The first recruits to the new Kosovo police force began training today in the northern town of Vucitrn.
The Danish head of the United Nations police service in Kosovo, Sven Frederiksen, told the two-hundred recruits that they must understand that without justice for everyone there would not be justice for anyone.
The school is being run by the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
Correspondents say the great majority of the new recruits are ethnic Albanians, but there are also Serbs among them.
