Slovenian police have arrested 16 activists from Greenpeace, for delaying the delivery of a huge steam generator to a nuclear power plant at Krsko, south of the capital, Ljubljana.
The delivery from the port of Koper was halted for two hours before police detained the protestors who had chained themselves to the load.
The steam generator is the first of two intended to prolong the working life of the Krsko reactor by 13 years, until 2023.
