Car bomb hits south Russian town
A car bomb in the south Russian region of Dagestan has killed three and injured five at Kizlyar, near the border with Chechnya, Officials say.

Government spokesman Dimitri Nikiforov said the blast occurred in front of the regional administration and all those who died were passers-by.

It happened just after a car carrying Dagestan's deputy prime minister, Amutshi Amutinov, left the area.

In the last five years, Dagestan has been the scene of numerous attacks.

The authorities have blamed many of them on rebel groups infiltrating from Chechnya.
