If your friend has spent holiday in Bodrum-antalya-datca-marmaris-belek-kemer-side-alanya-cesme-kas-kalkan-fethiye-ankara-erdek-edremit our holiday areas are fine. You can't communicate because the line is busy at the moment.

After spending one night more outside, I am back to help people to find their relatives and friends. Last night after a statement made by head of Kandilli Observatory that another big earthquake may happen, most of the people in the region stayed outside. Therefore it is nearly impossible to reach people from their home phones. Please give some more information like the company they work for, the neighbourhood name of the company. We continue to trace people with my colleague Malc Ellery in Istanbul.

I am hoping that my good friend, David Osbon, a British citizen, was not in Istanbul at the time of the earthquake. For the attention of Karwatsky Novella, USA. Izmit (with a T) is a very unusual destination for a holiday as it is an industrial town with little to offer the tourist. Did your sister Tserkovna Julıya perhaps go to Izmir (with an R)? Izmir is a popular holiday destination and although they felt the earthquake, there have been no reports of casualties there.
For the attention of Celia Bennett in Canada. Do you know what school Norma Foulkes is at? Is she teaching adults or children? In the meantime, I have e-mailed all my teacher friends enquiring about her and asked them to forward it to all their teacher friends. I am sure she is OK though because there are no reports of injuries to foreigners in Istanbul so please try not to worry too much.
