An explosion at Romania's biggest steel plant has killed at least three people and injured nine.
The explosion occurred at the state-owned Sidex plant in the port city of Galati, on the Danube River two-hundred kilometres northeast of Bucharest.
Firefighters were continuing to search for more victims. The government has been trying for some time to sell the indebted Sidex plant, which employs forty-thousand people.
