A single mother who was sacked for refusing to work long hours has won her case for unfair dismissal and sex discrimination at an employment tribunal in Britain.
In a case brought by her union, the MSF, the woman, Annette Cowley, complained that the sixteen-hour shifts she was expected to work didn't give her enough time to look after her baby.
The union now plans to take the British government to the European Court over the way it has implemented European law on long hours.
