About three-thousand Kosovo Albanians have protested against the deployment of Russian troops in the southwestern town of Orahovac.
Correspondents say many Kosovo Albanians accuse Russians of taking part in massacres carried out by Serb forces during NATO's air campaign.
But the two-thousand Serbs in the town hope the Russians will give them better protection.
Meanwhile in the northern Kosovo town of Mitrovica thousands of ethnic Albanians marched across a bridge dividing the two communities, calling for the international peacekeepers to disarm the Serbs.
